Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, said during a Friday conference call that her understanding of Komen’s announcement is that it’s a complete reversal of the decision to bar funding to her group.

“It’s quite clear that Planned Parenthood and our health centers and our doctors are eligible now to work with Komen foundation again,” Richards said, before adding that she hasn’t actually talked to Komen leaders about the decision. “I certainly take them at their word.”

It is apparent that Christians only believe in tolerance so long as their religion is allowed to violate the constitution.

Harassment is one of the many ways religion is abused to harm people.  16-year old athiest Jessica Ahlquist went to court to remove a prayer from the wall of her school, won the battle, and is now being harassed by these so-called “loving” Christians.  This hypocrisy is appalling.

The Associated Press reports that Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the nation’s leading breast-cancer charity, will cut off its funding to Planned Parenthood affiliates, where the foundation has traditionally paid for preventive screening services.

The pro-life movement is not actually pro-life.  Planned Parenthood will be losing an estimated $700,000+ a year to help fund breast cancer screenings for low-income women because Susan G. Komen caved to the pressure from anti-choice groups.  Which means that thousands of women will no longer have affordable access to valuable, life-saving cancer screening.
